CULLMAN, Ala. – The Cullman County Animal Shelter has extra animal friends this week, so volunteer Donna Ruttkay shares a bonus Cullman Tribune Pet of the Week.
Pugsley is a 7-8-month-old hound/bull mix with beautiful coloration and dramatic white markings, not to mention some “meat on his bones!” He’s a happy-go-lucky, medium-to-high-energy pet described as a “joyful soul” and “lover of life” by folks at the shelter. He enjoys running and playing outside, though he likes to stay close to his human companions.
Pugsley has the makings of a companion, therapy or emotional support dog.
Animal shelter staff and volunteers work with their dogs to make sure they are accustomed to being around people, walking on a leash and practicing good behavior. Several of the shelter’s dogs have even been “hired” to work as therapy and special needs service dogs.
Pugsley’s adoption fee is $90 which includes: DHLPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccines, rabies vaccine, wormer, general exam at the vet, neutering, microchip, free 30-day health insurance policy issued by 24PetWatch (with valid email only) and a free bag of food from Cullman Pet Depot (you must pay sales tax).
Please consider adopting to give a rescued pet a chance at a happy and healthy life.
