Cullman Police officers promoted

CULLMAN, Ala. – Two Cullman Police officers were recognized at the Cullman City Council meeting Monday evening for receiving promotions.

Lt. Eugene Bates, a 21-year CPD veteran, was promoted to captain.  He has been a patrol officer and patrol supervisor, and served on the tactical team.  He is currently a detective and one of the department’s helicopter pilots.

Sgt. Todd Chiaranda, a 28-year CPD veteran, was promoted to lieutenant.  He has served on the tactical team, and is currently a detective.

Assistant Chief Craig Montgomery introduced the officers, Councilman and Public Safety Committee Chairman Andy Page read and presented the promotion certificates and Chief Kenny Culpepper presented the officers their new badges.
