Update Feb. 15, 2019 at 10:48 p.m. Multiple sources have confirmed to The Tribune that Holly Pond native Josh Pinkard has died following today's shooting in Aurora, Illinois. Aurora authorities have said they will not confirm identities of the five victims tonight. Check back for details.


CULLMAN, Ala. – A Holly Pond native is believed to be among the victims in Friday's workplace shooting at the Henry Pratt Co., located west of Chicago. Multiple sources have reported that Josh Pinkard was shot during the incident. Pinkard's condition is unknown.

Aurora Police Chief Kristen Ziman said in a press conference Friday evening that five people died in the shooting, according to WVTM 13, which also reported that officers killed the suspect at the scene. He was identified as Gary Martin, 45. NBC News reported six officers were wounded.
