Cullman man charged with making terrorist threats at local business

CULLMAN – A Cullman man, Dakota Mardel Sapp, 21, was arrested on New Year’s Day, charged with making terrorist threats.

According to a spokesman for the Cullman County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO), Sapp “entered a local business making threats to harm the attendant working at the store. He entered the business several times, cursing and threatening to harm the attendant due to the attendant not selling him some cigarettes.”

Sapp was located by CCSO deputies shortly after he left the business.

The CCSO spokesman said that after a consultation with the Cullman County District Attorney’s Office, Sapp was arrested for making terrorist threats.

Sapp remains in the Cullman County Detention Center on a $20,000 property bond.
