CULLMAN – East Elementary School second and fourth graders took part in a student parent Thanksgiving lunch on Wednesday.

Principal David Wiggins cracked jokes with the children and took pictures of families. He said he was happy with the way the lunch turned out.

“I am thankful for our families, teachers and our CubCat (lunchroom) crew, who arrived earlier this morning to make homemade dressing… and when you see our families, I’m thankful.”

Wiggins also praised the lunchroom crew for providing a “homey” feeling to the cafeteria with fall decorations.

Around 120 kids and families were in attendance.

“We want our parents and kids to have fun and fellowship; it’s a lot of hard work, but it pays off to see everyone happy,” said EES Lunchroom Manager, Amy Emmert.
