CULLMAN – The annual Team Crew Charity Day has been moved to May 9 due to the threat of inclement weather on the event's previous date, April 25. Forecasts projected the potential for strong storms in the afternoon hours, prompting organizers to move the event.

Team Crew was founded to support a little boy named Crew and his family in their efforts to help find a cure for Cystic Fibrosis. Crew and his family have become the face of Cystic Fibrosis in the Cullman area over the past two years, and have done much to further the efforts of spreading awareness.

The big day, rescheduled for May 9, will still have the same great events on the new date according to Crew’s mother, Jessica Pettus.

“For the most part the event will stay the same, there was a band that couldn't come for May 9,” she said. “Possibly one of the food trucks will not make it, but still plenty of entertainment and food. There will be inflatables and face painting for the kids, food truck vendors, over 40 plus craft vendors, a chance to meet Elsa and Spider-Man, live bands and a performance from the Factory Dance. Our newest event is the car show with a $500 cash prize and door prizes! It's a great time for everyone in the family!”

The event’s car show was also rescheduled for the 9th, with registration starting at 9:30 a.m. for $35, and the main events beginning at 9 a.m. Pettus said she is hopeful that this new day will have an even better turnout that the first.

“I believe there is a reason for everything, so maybe the turnout will be even better May 9 than originally planned!”
