CULLMAN – Youth NFL Flag Football is coming to Cullman Parks, Recreation, & Sports Tourism (CPRST), and CPRST has announced a forum about the new league will take place on Monday, July 16 at 6 p.m. at the Cullman Civic Center.
“The forum panel will include CPRST Executive Director Nathan Anderson and Cullman High School's new varsity football coach, Matt Plunkett.
“Cullman native Plunkett came to the Bearcats from Gardendale, where he set a new record by leading his team to four straight playoff appearances in his five years as coach.
“Joining Plunkett and Anderson on the panel will be Former NFL DL/OL Devin Wyman. Wyman was drafted by the New England Patriots in 1996 and played two seasons with the team before signing with the Minnesota Vikings and eventually starting a career in arena football. In 2004, he won the Arena Football League Championship with his team, the San Jose SaberCats.”
