CULLMAN – On Saturday evening, Rock the South (RTS) made good on its ongoing commitment to give back to the city of Cullman, handing out more than $139,000 to four local charities, the Cullman Area Chamber of Commerce, and Cullman Parks, Recreation, and Sports Tourism (CP&R).

CP&R was the big winner, receiving $109,394.33.

The Cullman Area Chamber of Commerce received $10,000.

The Link of Cullman County, Childhaven, Cullman Regional Foundation and Brooks’ Place received $5,000 each.

On Monday, CP&R Executive Director Nathan Anderson reflected on the event, “It was a wonderful Rock the South event, the best I can remember.  It’s incredible to look at that many people in the park, that the team worked so hard to create an inviting space, having a great time.”
