Funeral services for Wacota “Rastus” DeMonia, age 85 of Hartselle will be on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in Ebenezer Cemetery.
Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. DeMonia is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Betty DeMonia; and a son, Marty DeMonia.
Mr. DeMonia passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2015 at Falkville Health Care. He was born March 4, 1930 in Cullman to the late William P. and Mamie Brantley DeMonia. He was retired from General Motors and served in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his three daughters, Dawn (Ronnie) Davidson, Susan (Bill) Grantham and Janet (Allen) Davidson; a son, Brian (Michele) DeMonia; a brother, Wano DeMonia; two sisters, Bennie Hale and Naomi Mosley; 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Tuesday evening 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
