Funeral Services for Alta P. Easterwood, age 86 will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 8, 2015 in the Moss-Service Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Union Grove Cemetery, with Rev. Terry Tingle & Rev. Kevin Wilburn officiating.

Alta passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at Woodland Village Health Care Center. She was born on April 15, 1928 in Holly Pond to the late James Parker Phillips & Alpha Young Phillips. She was a dedicated and loving mother & grandmother, and had retired after many years of service at area banks.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Audry C. Easterwood; daughter, Cynthia Collins; grandson, Janzen Easterwood; 5 – sisters and 4 – brothers.
Survivors include her 3 – Sons – Howard Michael (Deborah) Easterwood, Ronald Keith (Janie) Easterwood & Dennis Calvin (Teri) Easterwood; 5 – Grandchildren – Leah (Cary) Johnson, Graham Michael Easterwood, Benjamin Calvin Easterwood, Elizabeth Easterwood & Jakob Easterwood; 3 – Great-Grandchildren; one Sister – Myra Jean Howard.
The family will receive friends for visitation at the funeral home on Saturday, March 7, 2015 from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m.
