County GOP releases final list of qualified candidates

CULLMAN – The Cullman County Republican Party late Friday released the final list of candidates who qualified for the 2018 election. The deadline for filing for candidacy was 5 p.m. Friday.

Below is a list of offices up for re-election and the candidates who qualified for each. The Tribune will be interviewing each candidate leading up to the primary election on June 5, 2018.

Alabama House District 9:

  • Scott Stadthagen
  • James R. Bowling
  • Justin Morrow

Alabama House District 11:

  • Randall Shedd (incumbent)

Alabama House District 12:

  • Corey Harbison (incumbent)
  • Alex Chaney

Alabama Senate District 4:

  • Paul Bussman (incumbent)
  • Garlan Gudger

Cullman County Probate Judge:

  • Tammy Brown (incumbent)
  • Carol Berry

Cullman County Sheriff:

  • Matt Gentry (incumbent)

Cullman County Coroner:

  • Jeremy Kilpatrick (incumbent)

Associate Cullman County Commissioner, West Side:

  • Garry Marchman (incumbent)
  • Andy Coffee

Associate Cullman County Commissioner, East Side:

  • Kerry Watson (incumbent)

Circuit Judge, Place 1:

  • Greg Nicholas (incumbent)

Circuit Judge, Place 2:

  • Martha Williams (incumbent)
  • Melvin Hastings

District Judge, Place 2:

  • Wells "Rusty" Turner (incumbent)

Circuit Clerk:
