CULLMAN – If you are a fan of Pinterest and love to make unique crafts, then you are in for a real treat. Cullman’s own Audra Vest and Tasha Monk have joined forces, bringing their talents and creative personalities together to create a place where women can get together, socialize and enjoy themselves as they create some of the most unique crafts around.
“We noticed our friends and family always referring to the ‘Pinterest woman,’ basically meaning the wives, mothers, home and career women who are always trying to keep up with the latest thing,” said Vest.
“We wanted to make a place for women to create, or with some help, create with no pressure. We really want to celebrate hard working wives and mothers!”
Even though Lilly Grae & Co. is in its infancy, the two friends have big plans for its future.
“We have a lot of goals and dreams we would like to accomplish,” Vest smiled. “I have always had a love for creating things, as does Tasha. It is just second nature to us. We would rather get power tools for
Christmas rather than purses,” she giggled. “We really love what we do – It’s a dream job for us!”
Because Lilly Grae & Co. is such a new endeavor, there isn’t an actual store yet.
“We hope to open a shop soon – a place where we can work and have the paint parties at,” she added.
“We’re in Cullman and only working online right now. Our Facebook page can be found at LillyGraeCo. We usually book the parties from a hostess, but we're having an open to the public party on March 13 just to jump start the parties.”
The duo has had a lot of interest in their March 13 party. If you are interested in attending, all you need to do is go to Lilly Grae & Co. on Facebook.
“We have been advertising through Facebook. We ask people to add us on Facebook and send us a message for more information about our party,” Vest explained.
“Right now, we have two locations we can use for the party depending on how many want to come. We plan to touch base with each person a week before the party to follow up with them and let them know the time/place, etc.”
