Holly Pond 63, Vinemont 30 (Girls)
Holly Pond rolled to a road win over Vinemont, snapping a three-game losing streak. The Lady Broncos will take on Cold Springs next Tuesday night at 6:15 p.m. in the Cullman County Basketball Tournament at WSCC. The Lady Eagles enter the tournament as the no. 7 seed, and will take on the no. 2 seed, West Point, on Monday night at 6:15 p.m.
Holly Pond 85, Vinemont 46 (Boys)
No. 7 Holly Pond improves to 21-2 after rolling to yet another win over Vinemont. The Broncos have a first-round bye as the no. 1 seed and will face the Fairview-Hanceville winner next Friday night at 6:15 p.m.
Hanceville 57, J.B. Pennington 34 (Girls)
The Lady Bulldogs took care of business at home against J.B. Pennington to improve to 14-7 overall and will take on Good Hope next Wednesday night at 6:15 p.m.
Hanceville 60, J.B. Pennington 30 (Boys)
Hanceville is now 13-6 on the season after rolling to an easy home win over J.B. Pennington.
West Point 66, Jasper 12 (Girls)
West Point rebounded from its loss big-time as the Lady Warriors dominated Jasper from start to finish in a easy road victory. They are 18-8 overall now.
West Point 42, Jasper 38 (Boys)
West Point held off a late fourth-quarter rally by Jasper to win a low-scoring affair. The Warriors improve to 12-12 overall and will enter the tournament as the no. 2 seed, taking on seventh-seeded Vinemont next Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m.
Meek 53, Lynn 27 (Boys)
The no. one seed, Meek, easily took care of the four seed, Lynn, in the opening round of the Winston County Basketball Tournament, and will take on the Winston County-Addison winner in the championship game next Saturday.
Addison 38, Lynn 29 (Girls)
Addison's girls took down Lynn in the opening round of the Winston County Basketball Tournament, and will face the Winston County-Meek winner in the championship game next Saturday.
