HANCEVILLE – In our promised search for non-commercial Christmas doings this year, The Tribune is once again highlighting the Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament near Hanceville (Previously recommended for its giant Nativity scene), where staff and volunteers will be offering rides in a wagon drawn by genuine draft horses. The wagon rolled in the Cullman County Christmas Parade last Saturday, marking the Shrine’s first entry in the event.
Shrine Business Manager Susy Stokes shared, “This is our first year; we hope we’re in the parade for many to come. The reason we started this year is we have our draft horse-drawn wagon in the parade, and we offer horse-drawn wagon rides at the Shrine every Christmas.”
The rides will be available free of charge, beginning Friday, Dec. 15:
- Friday, Dec. 15 – 1-4:30 p.m.
