3 Jones Chapel men arrested, 2 for meth trafficking

JONES CHAPEL – Three men from the community of Jones Chapel/Water Valley were arrested on Wednesday, following the execution of a search warrant at a residence on County Road 1030.

During the search, agents with the Cullman Narcotics Enforcement Team (CNET) allegedly recovered 2 ounces of meth and a half pound of marijuana. Agents also found drug paraphernalia.

Arrested were Justin Bernard Gilbreath, 32; Wondlas Mark Givens, 53; and Roger Dale Marks, 67.

Both Gilbreath and Givens were charged with trafficking in methamphetamine, first-degree unlawful possession of marijuana and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Both are being held in the Cullman County Detention Center, each on a $1 million bond.         

Marks was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and is being held in the Cullman County Detention Center on a $5,000 bond.

“I would like to thank the citizens for their tips on these suspects because we take a proactive approach in finding the drug dealers and putting them in jail,” said Sheriff Matt Gentry. “I would like to thank CNET and the deputies who worked on this case.”
