CCSO arrests 7 over the weekend; 4 for chemical endangerment of a child

CULLMAN COUNTY –  Three separate search warrants lead to the arrests of seven individuals in Cullman County over the weekend. The arrests were made by the Cullman Narcotics Enforcement Team (CNET), along with investigators and deputies with the Cullman County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO).

The execution of a search warrant on County Road 1606 in the Berlin community led to the recovery of a meth lab, 2 grams of methamphetamine and a small amount of marijuana. Authorities say two minor children were present in the home where the meth lab was found. The Cullman County Department of Human Resources was contacted and the children were taken from the residence.

The following suspects were arrested at the scene for chemical endangerment of a child, unlawful manufacturing of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, second-degree unlawful possession of marijuana and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia:

  • Christin Cheri Ayers, 31, of Cullman- $1 million bond
  • Jesse Gene Golden, 21, of Cullman, $1 million bond            
  • Shelton Wayne Ramey, 41, of Cullman, $1 million bond      
  • Bobby Dale Wilson, 45, of Cullman, $1 million bond

The execution of a search warrant on County Road 607 in the Phelan community led to the recovery of multiple motorcycles with altered vin numbers. Also seized were $3,400 in cash, 1 gram of meth, two pistols and other drug paraphernalia.

Roy Wesley Roach, 42, of Hanceville was arrested for unlawful possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Roach has since made bond.

The execution of a search warrant on County Road 397 in the Valley Gove community led to the recovery of one gram of meth, a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

The following suspects were arrested for unlawful possession of a controlled substance, second-degree unlawful possession of marijuana and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia:

  • Jammy Lee Guthery, 43, of Cullman- has since made bond
  • Kyle James Shaw, 34, of Cullman- has since made bond

In all, the CCSO seized a meth lab, 4 grams of meth, $3,400 in cash, four motorcycles, two pistols, marijuana and other drug paraphernalia.

“I am most thankful we were able to get those two children out of that home with a meth lab. It breaks your heart to see children in that kind of environment,” said Sheriff Matt Gentry. “I would like to thank the CNET Agents, investigators and the deputies for the great job they did on these search warrants.’’
