CULLMAN – A Georgia woman was arrested Sunday at a Cullman Wal-Mart store after Cullman Police Department Officer Matt Hollingsworth responded to a call of a possibly intoxicated female on the premises.

Hollingsworth located the suspect exiting the Wal-Mart parking lot in a vehicle.  After observing the suspect’s vehicle cross the center line multiple times, Hollingsworth initiated a traffic stop, during which the driver was identified as Jacquelyn Suzanne Cox, 44, of Dallas, Georgia.

Cox admitted to Hollingsworth that she had four alprazolam pills, hypodermic syringes, 11 Concerta ER 54 mg pills and other drug paraphernalia.  Cox also admitted to having methamphetamine inside her suitcase. Hollingsworth recovered approximately 2.3 ounces of methamphetamine from the suitcase.

Cox was placed under arrest for trafficking in methamphetamine, unlawful possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

Cox is being held at the Cullman County Detention Center on a $1 million bond.
