CULLMAN, Ala. – The downtown branch of the Cullman County Public Library System (CCPLS) will host author Dr. Rebekah Lloyd for an Author Talk event on Wednesday, March 19, from 4:30-5:30 p.m.

CCPLS Assistant Director Shelby Creekmore said, “We are very excited to have Dr. Lloyd speak at the library. We love to promote local authors and look forward to hearing about her new book.”

Lloyd said community means everything to her.

“Having grown up here, served in the Army and experienced life in different cultures, I can say with confidence — there’s truly no place like home,” Lloyd said. “I’m grateful for the opportunity to pour my knowledge and experience back into the community that shaped me. Whether through leadership development, advocacy or storytelling, I hope to encourage others to use their own stories for good — because our stories have the power to inspire, heal and transform.”

Lloyd said she will be speaking about something close to her heart — the power of telling our stories.

“Our experiences shape us, and when we share them, we not only heal ourselves, but inspire and impact others,” she said. “In this talk, I’ll dive into how my books came to be — from the research and personal experiences that led to my leadership book, to the faith-filled journey that shaped my devotionals and the everyday moments with my children that became the heart of my children’s books.”

In her work as a leadership and organizational consultant, Lloyd partners with businesses across industries to develop strong, effective leadership and strategic planning solutions.

“I own Lloyd Consulting Firm and also provide executive coaching, working one-on-one with driven individuals who want to sharpen their leadership abilities and make a greater impact,” Lloyd said. “Beyond my business, I stay deeply involved in my community. I serve on the Advisory Committee for CATA, the Executive Board for Curt’s Closet and as a Chamber Ambassador. My advocacy work is rooted in my passion for the military and veteran communities and the foster and adoptive communities, both of which hold a special place in my life.”

Also, Lloyd said she will have some exciting news to share.

“I’ll be announcing a brand-new children’s book series — one that I am incredibly passionate about,” Lloyd said. “Plus, my latest book, ‘My Story: A Personal Journey with a Personal God,’ will be available for pre-order that night! I can’t wait to share this journey with you.”
