Funeral service for Bruce David Laney, 75, of the Blair Community will be at 12 p.m., Saturday, January 18th, 2025 at Cullman Funeral Home Chapel with interment in the Blair Congregational Methodist Cemetery, Rev. Steve Rodgers and Rev. Samuel Tucker officiating. Visitation will be Friday evening at the funeral home from 5:30 p.m. – 8 p.m.

Bruce passed away January 15, 2025 at his residence. He was born May 30, 1949 to James Leslie and Margarett Cone Laney. He loved farming, gardening, horses, rodeoing, going to the mountains with his family, visiting the Amish, and all outside activities. He was barn supervisor at Cullman Stockyard and worked there for over 36 years. He will be missed.
Bruce was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Elizabeth Pigg Laney; children, Tina and Brian; brother-in-law, Ed Holcombe.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Joyce Laney; daughters, Darlene (Jeff) Nuss, Desti (Duston) Neighbors; brothers, Gary (Wanda) Laney, Tim (Donna) Laney, Chris Laney; sisters, Dianne (Charles) Wilbanks, Connie Holcombe; grandchildren, Kaeleigh (Cory) Hall, Nick (Reagan) Nuss, Lyssi Nuss, Jordan Tanner, Isabella Neighbors, Ellie Grace Neighbors; three great-grandchildren, Isaac Hall, Zoey Nuss, Saige Hall and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Josh Wilbanks, Adam Wilbanks, Barry Laney, Patrick Laney, Paul Quattlebaum, Larry Davis
