Troy Lawrence, 77, of Cullman, Alabama, passed away on December 23, 2024. Mr. Lawrence was born to the late George David and Clara Mae Pierce Lawrence on March 9, 1947, in Cullman County, Alabama.
Mr. Lawrence worked in the construction industry for many years as a mason, but his true passion was gardening. He grew vegetables of all kinds including sweet potatoes and peanuts. Troy loved nature and he had a deep appreciation for the trees and flowers. Mr. Lawrence treasured his family and was a loving father and grandfather. He will be missed greatly.
Troy is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Debra Freeman; and brother, Wayne Lawrence.
Those surviving Mr. Lawrence includes his sons, Chris Lawrence, Allen Lawrence (Tina); several brothers and sisters; grandchildren, Julie Layne Lawrence, Davina Jayne Martin, Ryan Lawrence, Jake Lawrence, T.J. Lawrence, Keylee Martin, Troy Lawrence; great-grandchildren, Jayden Lawrence, and Caden Lawrence.
Per Mr. Lawrence’s request, a private family graveside will be held at Battleground East Cemetery where Troy will be laid to rest alongside his beloved wife.
