Craig, a man whose humor, warmth, and boundless spirit brightened the lives of everyone he met, passed away on December 14, 2024.

His extraordinary ability to bring stories to life, paired with his infectious laughter, made him a joy to be around, and a friend to all.
Craig never met a stranger, welcoming everyone into his life with open arms and an open heart. He didn’t care if you were rich, poor, or anywhere in between—he valued people for who they were, not what they had. His zest for life was unmatched; he lived each day to the fullest and made countless memories along the way. Above all, Craig loved his family fiercely. He cherished his children, who were the light of his life, and held a special place in his heart for his brother, with whom he shared a unique and enduring bond. Craig leaves behind a legacy of laughter, kindness, and unforgettable stories. Though he is no longer with us, the impact he made on those lucky enough to know him will live on forever.

Survivors include his mother, Lisa Fields-Acuff (Terry Cook); daughter, Mesha R. Acuff; son, Isaiah C. Acuff; brother, Anthony J. Acuff; sister, Sonya Acuff; fiancé, Bridgette Drinkard and her children, MacKenzie & Serenity McIntosh; uncles, Rusty Fields and Michael Fields; aunt Theresa Fields-Crosby (Chris); nieces, Ansley Acuff and Sofia Acuff; his puppies, Charlotte & Riley; and many cousins and friends from all around.

Mr. Acuff was preceded in death by his father, David M. Acuff; grandmother, Mary Ellen Acuff; and grandparents, RC and Patricia Fields.

Hanceville Funeral Home is honored to serve the Acuff Family.
