CULLMAN, Ala. – The Cullman Police Department (CPD) on Tuesday, Dec. 10, made three arrests in connection with the Sunday, Dec. 8, robbery at Take 5 Car Wash in Cullman.

According to CPD reports, officers responded to a robbery at Take 5 Car Wash, located at 1860 Cherokee Ave. SW Sunday night and the victim reported that an armed suspect entered the business and forced her to empty the safe. Mary Klosinski was located on Dec. 9 during a felony traffic stop on a suspect vehicle that was believed to be connected with the case. CPD Major Intae Suh said, “We want to thank several people for their help in this. Our Investigations Division has done a great job and our patrol division. I also wanted to thank The FBI North Alabama Violent Crimes Task Force and of course the Cullman County District Attorney’s Office for their tireless work on this case. There were also citizens of Cullman that helped us as well that I’d like to thank. They don’t want to be put out there, but they did help us in our investigation.”

“All I want to hit on again is how great of a job the Cullman Police officers did, Cullman PD Investigations and our tactical unit who was called out the first night on Sunday to apprehend one of the suspects,” Police Chief Joey Duncan said. “They did a great job, and they have been working diligently on it. A lot of hours have been put in to solve this and everyone did a great job. We also appreciate all the citizens that helped us in this investigation as well.”

The CPD did not disclose the amount of money or other items taken in the robbery.
