ARLEY, Ala. – After crushing Vina on the road last week, the Meek Tigers returned home to wrap up the regular season against Carbon Hill Friday night and they kept their momentum rolling with a 54-12 win over the Bulldogs.

Meek built a 12-0 lead in the first quarter and the Tigers scored two more touchdowns in the second quarter to take a 26-0 lead into the locker room at halftime. Meek’s offense continued to light up the scoreboard in the third quarter, pulling ahead of Carbon Hill 48-6 by the start of the fourth.

The Tigers found the end zone early in the fourth quarter to make it a 54-6 game and the Bulldogs were able to score one more time in the final two minutes to bring the final score to 54-12.

Meek finishes the regular season 7-3 with the win and the Tigers will be back home next week to host Hubbertville in the round one of the 1A state playoffs.
