Carl Wayne “Porter” Wagner, age 65, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at Cullman Regional Medical Center, surrounded by his family.
He was born on December 29, 1958, to Buster and Erlene Wagner. He was married to the love of his life, Rhonda Hancock Wagner, for forty-four years. He was a loving father to his two pride and joys, Mandy (Tony) Hamm and Bobby (Courtney)Wagner. He was a loving pawpaw to his five grandchildren, whom he thought did no wrong, Shelby and Colby Hamm, and Colton, Kymberlee and Cameron Wagner. All of his grandchildren thought he could have hung the moon, if they just asked. He was a brother to Dennis Wagner, Bruce (Denise) Wagner, Ernie (Lynn) Wagner, and Wanda (Chuck) David.
He was a truck driver and loved being behind the wheel. He loved golfing any chance he had. He was a soft and gentle soul who loved his family immensely and a friend to all. He was loved by all who met him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Buster Wagner, sister, Wanda David, and mother and father-in-law, Ella and Bob Hancock.
Cullman Funeral Home is in charge of Mr. Wagner’s care. No services are planned at this time.
