Deadlifting, costumes, trunk-or-treat and more
CULLMAN, Ala. – The Garage in Cullman is gearing up for its annual Day of the Deadlift party, set for Saturday, Nov. 2, at 5 p.m. The event invites the public to join for a Halloween-packed evening featuring a deadlift competition, Halloween costumes and community fun.
With a $50 entry fee for competitors, the deadlift contest will have a cash payout awarded based on participation, with both male and female winners recognized. Gym merchandise will be up for grabs, alongside free training sessions provided by local fitness trainers Zack Gordon and Elizabeth Standridge. Spectators can enjoy the event free of charge.
The Garage Owner Tamara Gourley shared her excitement for the event, saying, ” I would love to see the community come out and support everyone lifting. It’s going to be a great time. We will have some lifters participating in costume. This is a fantastic opportunity for everyone to come and check things out without pressure or intimidation. Everyone is welcome and it is completely free and open to the public “
The party will feature Halloween-themed activities, including trunk-or-treat, along with food and drinks, with the famous tamales making a return. Aurora Mobile IV & Wellness will also be on-site, offering IV wellness options.
