With football season over basketball now takes the spotlight at Cullman High School. Wendell Childs and Elwin Robinson share the stage to carry the offensive load. Both are rangy lads (Childs, 6’1 ½”), Robinson 6’2”) and are counted on highly this season. Bob Dahlke 6’1” Asa Blalock 5’10”, John Edwards 6’, Tim Adams 6’ and Bill Knight 6’2” make up the remainder of returning monogram wearers. Several newcomers have drifted into Cullman High School to strengthen the Cats. Dwight Tucker and Johnny Tucker, two sophomores are the most likely to see action from the up and coming group, while Neil Glasscock, Jerry Brandon and Jim Edwards seem to have the inside chance to make the varsity.
