McSpadden, Hamby named September CCBOE/AmFirst Teacher, Staff Member of the Month

CULLMAN, Ala. – Cullman County Schools and AmFirst recognize a teacher and staff member each month of the school year who is going above and beyond in their profession.

Teacher of the Month: Becky McSpadden, Good Hope Middle School

Becky McSpadden teaches eighth grade science and is the robotics coach at Good Hope Middle School.

“She consistently goes above and beyond to inspire and educate her students,” said Lesley Hembree, Good Hope Middle School principal. “Her passion for teaching and her commitment to student services are evident in everything she does.”

Staff Member of the Month: Amanda Hamby, school secretary, Cullman County Child Development Center

Amanda Hamby is the school secretary at the Cullman County Child Development Center.

“Mrs. Amanda works extremely hard every day with meeting the needs of all of the adults and students on our campus,” said Trett Hardman, Child Development Center principal. “She is more than deserving of the AmFirst Staff of the Month award as she is consistently exceptional on a daily basis.”

Cullman County Schools thanked AmFirst for sponsoring the program. Each teacher and staff member of the month receives a $100 gift card.
