HANCEVILLE, Ala. – Hanceville Friends of the Festival is hosting its trunk or treat event in downtown Hanceville on Friday, Oct. 27, from 4-6 p.m. The family-friendly event will begin with children lining up at the corner of U.S. Highway 31 and Commercial Street, while attendees can park at Hanceville City Hall or the adjacent lot. Trunk or treat participants must be registered by Oct. 25 to distribute candy.

Trunk participants can begin lining up on along Commercial Street, wrapping around Bangor Avenue between 2-3 p.m., with trunk decorations and preparations for the children taking place from 3-4.

In order to maintain a fun and safe atmosphere for all, particularly the young children attending, no scary costumes or inappropriate outfits will be allowed. Event organizers emphasize that participants should refrain from wearing macabre costumes or anything deemed inappropriate or they will be asked to leave.

Participants are encouraged to bring enough candy for large crowds. If needed, festival organizers will supply additional candy until it runs out. Those wishing to participate can find registration and trunk or treat information at the Bradford Properties office, located next to Hanceville Pack and Ship on Commercial Street.
