CULLMAN, Ala. – The annual Kicking Cancer in Cullman line dancing fundraiser will be this Saturday, Oct. 26, from 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. at the Donald E. Green Active Adult Center.

Center Director Stephanie Neal said the event benefits the Cullman County Bosom Buddies Foundation, a local nonprofit that supports Cullman-area residents who are battling cancer.

“They might pay bills for them or help them with gas money for traveling to treatments, buy them groceries, buy them a wig,” Neal said. “We usually have around 75-80 guests. We are expecting more this year. It grows every year.”

Neal said the Center’s line dancing instructor, Sherry Boatright, and her dance group put this event on each year.

“A lot of breast cancer survivors are in this group,” Neal said. “They work very hard for this event each year.  They also perform at the Little Pink Dress event.”

Participants can register at the door on Saturday. It is $25 per person, with all proceeds going to Bosom Buddies.

“We will have four special dance instructors teaching that day and they are all survivors,” Neal said. “It’s always a fun event raising money for a great cause.”

The Active Adult Center located at 1625 Cleveland Ave. SW in Cullman. Reach the Center by phone at 256-734-4803.
