CULLMAN, Ala. — The youth football regular season is ramping up and we had a full slate of key games with playoff implications around the area this weekend. The Good Hope Raiders hosted the Cold Springs Eagles, the Cullman Bearcats traveled to take on the Vinemont Eagles, the Hanceville Bulldogs hosted the Holly Pond Broncos, and the West Point Warriors went to Fairview to take on the Aggies.

On the first play of Good Hope’s Wee-Wee game against Cold Springs, Shaun McManus took a handoff 65 yards for a touchdown and punched in the two-point conversion to get the Raiders off to a fast start. McManus has cerebral palsy, and his coach says he loves football and playing with his teammates more than anything. He even liked steps in to help his coaches sometimes.
