FCCLA students compete in Beef Cook-off; Baggett named Most Outstanding FCCLA Member

CULLMAN, Ala. – On Sept. 17, 2024, various Cullman County and city school students met at the Alabama Farm Credit headquarters in Cullman for the FCCLA All County Beef Cook-off. The Cattlewomen’s Association and Alabama Farm Credit sponsored the event. Adalynn Bowers from West Point placed first, Evan Fales from Fairview placed second, Nathan Butler from CATA placed third, Katie Holmes from Vinemont placed fourth and Mary Ellen Self from Good Hope placed fifth. Bowers will compete in April at the State Beef Cook-off. 

Also, at the FCCLA Beef Cook-off, Rebecca Baggett from Cold Springs High School won the Most Outstanding FCCLA Member in Cullman County. Butler came in second. Baggett will receive an award at the Farm-City Banquet in November. 

Participating FCCLA sponsors and schools included Stephanie Blair from Cold Springs High School, Amie Veal from CATA, Carin Rains from Cullman High School, Whitney Haynes from Fairview High School, Amanda Williams from Good Hope High School, Amy Chambers from Hanceville High School, Madison Sapp from Vinemont High School and Renee Lee.
