HACKLEBURG, Ala. – The Tigers of Meek were back on the road Friday night to open up region play at Hackleburg and unfortunately for the visiting crowd, the Tigers had their hands full when they hit the field against the Panthers.

Hackleburg jumped out to a 20-0 lead in the first quarter, but Meek was able to get on the board when quarterback Evan McCay hit Jaxon Brown down field for a 30-yard touchdown pass. McCay found Ryan Ewing in the end zone for the two-point conversion and trimmed the lead to 20-8 with less than a minute remaining in the first.

The Tigers went into the locker room trailing 27-8 at halftime and after a scoreless third quarter, the Panthers tacked on one more touchdown at the start of the fourth to cap a 34-8 region win over Meek.

The Tigers will travel to play Phillips Bear Creek next week.
