Cabin Fever Beverages this year opened its fifth location in Cullman County. The new location is on U.S. Highway 278 in East Point – on several acres with room to grow.

Kolby Lawrence has owned and operated Cabin Fever since 2011. The East Point location opened in April, and he said it has seen more traffic and has more curbside appeal.

“(Highway) 278 East is our largest location and the only store we have built from the ground up,” Lawrence said. “This store has new modern coolers and shelving. We have the largest selection of craft beer and seltzers here, along with a humidor and large bourbon selection.”

Lawrence said the development also has one other tenant space available for rent. There are 1,250 square feet available.

He said the 278 store was a fun and challenging project in which they tried to combine all the successful working parts of other locations.

Cabin Fever Beverages 278 East is located at 1654 Third St. SE in Cullman.

“We have owned land out on Highway 278 for a number of years and just couldn’t make the property meet all the necessary requirements for a package store,” Lawrence said. “So when this became available we jumped on the opportunity to design and build our first store from the ground up. We hope this sparks growth out of 278 East as Cullman continues to grow.”
