GOOD HOPE, Ala. – The Good Hope City Council held its second August meeting at Good Hope City Hall Monday night and approved a new resolution to take the next step in its multi-use storm shelter/community center project. The Council approved Resolution No: 021-2024 to enter into a contract with Terracon Consultants, Inc. to provide Geotechnical Engineering Services on the site. The project is located west of the intersection between Beech Grove Road and Daystar Drive in Good Hope.
The Council also shared that the joint effort with the City of Cullman to prep and pave Industrial Park Road from REHAU in the Cullman city limits to Lindsey Road in Good Hope’s city limits got underway Monday as well.
Good Hope also recently completed a project to connect the sewer lines from County Road 222 to the subdivision being built on Mize Road North. City Planner Corey Harbison said the developer is putting in sewer lines and a pump station and after the City completes its inspections, the developer will be able hook its lines directly into the City’s existing gravity lines.
The Council also granted a manufacturing license to Ethos Craft Brewing LLC and Bloom Winery to change their names to E and B LLC as one entity.
Good Hope’s Sizzlin’ Seniors will meet Tuesday at 10 a.m. and the City Council will hold its next regularly scheduled meeting Monday, Sept. 9 at 6:30 p.m.
