CULLMAN, Ala. – The United Way of Cullman County recently released an updated list of food resources in the area. With the emergence of more and more “Little Free Pantries” across the county, assistance for those in need is usually never more than a few miles away.
Cullman County is currently home to more than 25 food pantries. Larger food assistance organizations such as Cullman Caring for Kids and The Pantry at The Link and the many church-based programs operate on a volunteer basis to assist neighbors in need with selecting food items. Cullman’s Free Little Pantries are stocked and used by individuals in the area, with food and resources being self-served.
“United Way of Cullman County is excited to share our updated list of Little Food Pantries and local food banks, featuring some of our partner agencies like Cullman Caring for Kids, The Link of Cullman County and Wallace State Cares Lion’s Kitchen,” shared United Way of Cullman County Resource Development & Outreach Director Taylor Johnson. “Everyone deserves to have reliable access to food, and we hope this list will be a helpful resource for families in our schools and the community. Please use these services if you need them and donate if you can. Together, we can make a difference.”
