CULLMAN – Cullman Regional Medical Center (CRMC) held its second annual trunk or treat event Thursday evening, with more than 2,000 people coming out to take part in the festivities, many of whom were dressed in their Halloween costumes in the spirit of the upcoming holiday. Free food and drinks were made available to those in attendance thanks to CRMC; free preventive health screenings were also available for all who wished to receive them at the event.

Lindsey Dossey, director of marketing at CRMC, says that the hospital prepared for the event for a year, building on last year’s experience in order to “make things more organized and fun for everybody that comes out.”

“It’s a really fun event that our staff really enjoys doing,” said Dossey, who says the hospital footed the bill for the evening.

When asked if CRMC planned to host the event again next year, Dossey jokingly replied, “Why wouldn’t we?”

Citing the success of the annual trunk or treat, Dossey said, “The event serves as a way for CRMC to reach out to the community and do something fun for the families in our community.”
