CULLMAN, Ala. – Rock the South is rolling into its third and final day Saturday and Cullman Police Chief David Nassetta said Friday night saw more heightened incidents and activity than day one.
“Since the last update we have had nine more arrests, all adults,” Nassetta said. “The charges were mostly public intoxication or disorderly conduct. There was one resisting arrest charge. We got pretty busy towards the end of the concert.”
There were several issues, specifically involving ticket holders getting into fights as it got later Friday night.
“We were notified of several fights, but as usual, by the time we got there, everyone had scattered,” said Nassetta. “We are closely monitoring these situations. We are hoping for a successful and minimal incident Saturday and final day of Rock the South.”
