DODGE CITY, Ala. – Service industry workers, start saving tips now, because Dodge City Tattoo Company (DCTC) is planning to host an exclusive event just for those who work in hospitality. The event will welcome servers, bartenders, nail technicians, baristas, housekeepers, delivery drivers and more to relax and mingle with friends while adding a little ink on Saturday, July 20.

This will not be the first community event hosted by the tattoo shop. In Oct. 2023, the studio hosted its inaugural Halloween and Horror Art Market and offered customized Halloween-themed tattoos to attendees.

“We wanted to show some appreciation and hospitality to all service industry workers,” shared Kelsey Reindeau, Dodge City Tattoo Company’s resident piercing professional. “They sacrifice a lot of weekends, family time and holidays. This is just a fun night for them to treat themselves.”

Beginning at noon and running until 10 p.m., service industry workers are invited to DCTC and choose from a select group of flash art specifically customized and designed for them at a discount compared to the shop’s regular rate of $175 an hour. Reindeau said while the available tattoo designs are flash art, they’re not the typical flash tattoos found in black-bound books.

“We are doing discounted designs specifically for people who work in the service industry,” said Reindeau. “The flash designs will be exclusive to them.”

Tattoos will not be the only modifications offered at DCTC’s Service Industry Night; Reindeau said the shop is planning to offer steep discounts on modifications of the sparkly kind, offering select piercings at a reduced rate for the event. The studio typically charges $60 per piercing.

“I’m also going to be doing discounted piercings,” Reindeau smiled. “I’m not sure which ones specifically yet, so I guess people will have to show up to find out!”

Dodge City Tattoo Company is located at 501 Alabama Highway 69 S, Suite E. For more information or questions about the event, call 256-887-1800.
