Funeral Service for Mary Ruth Guthrie, age 83, of Logan, will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home with Scott Sessions and Micah Sturn officiating; burial at Emeus Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. – 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home.

Mrs. Guthrie was a school teacher in the Cullman County School System for 33 years. She passed away on Sunday, June 30, 2024 at her residence. She was born March 27, 1941 to Oliver Richard and Bertha Mae Sharpton.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Dudley Guthrie; parents; sister, Mavis Sharpton; sister, Beatrice Cottle; and brother, Edwin Sharpton.
Survivors include her son, Eddie (Tracy) Guthrie; son, Kevin (Amanda) Guthrie; grandchildren, Addy, Jacy, Zady, Reese, and John Luke; brother, Billy Sharpton; brother, Harold (Diane) Sharpton and a host of nieces and nephews.
