CULLMAN, Ala. – The third annual Hanceville Parks and Recreation Pro Rodeo is back, bigger and better than ever on Saturday, June 29, at the Cullman County Agricultural Trade Center. Gates open at 5:30 p.m., and the rodeo starts at 7. Tickets for the H.P.R. Pro Rodeo will be sold at the gate, with prices set at $20 for ages 12 and older, $12 for ages 6-12 and free entry for children 5 and younger.

Event organizer and director of Hanceville Parks and Recreation, David Wasilewski, shared the significance of the H.P.R. Rodeo.

“We are bringing a whole new feel to this year’s event by teaming with Southern Rodeo Company to deliver an action-packed experience. This rodeo is very significant for the community as we aim to raise money for programs and events for the citizens of Hanceville,” shared Wasilewski.

Attendees can look forward to a full slate of classic rodeo events, including bareback and saddle bronc riding, steer wrestling, tie-down roping, team roping, breakaway roping, barrel racing and the ever-popular bull riding. For those seeking a bit of hands-on excitement, the event will feature a mechanical bull, offering a fun challenge for children and adults.

In addition to the rodeo competitions, the event will feature a variety of food trucks and vendors. Attendees can enjoy delicious offerings from The Street Kitchen and Carnival Cravings, as well as traditional concession stand fare inside the arena. A diverse range of vendors, including those selling hats, T-shirts and leather goods, will also be present.

Sponsorship opportunities are still available, with arena banner packages being offered. Interested sponsors are encouraged to reach out to the event organizers for more details on how they can support this community event.

The H.P.R. Rodeo not only promises a night of old-school rodeo entertainment, but also serves as a vital fundraiser for Hanceville Parks and Recreation programs.

“The money raised by the H.P.R. Rodeo will go right back into our park and rec events and programs,” Wasilewski explained.
