Troy University announces Spring/Term 4 graduates

TROY, Ala. – Troy University is pleased to recognize students who completed the requirements for graduation during the Spring Semester and Term 4 of the 2023-2024 academic year.

Local students who graduated include:

Savannah Wimberly named to President’s List at Jax State

JACKSONVILLE, Ala. – Savannah Wimberly of Cullman has been named to the President’s List at Jacksonville State University for outstanding academic performance over the spring 2024 semester. To be named to the President’s List, students must earn a perfect 4.0 GPA for the semester while completing at least 12 hours of GPA course credit.

Local students graduate from Harding University

SEARCY, Ark. – More than 700 students received diplomas and were recognized as Harding University graduates during the Spring 2024 commencement ceremony on May 4, 2024.

  • Maxime Faure of Vinemont received a Master of Business Administration in management and business ethics
  • Gracie Hamlett of Falkville received a Bachelor of Arts in elementary education

University President Mike Williams recognized the candidates as they were recommended by the faculty for graduation.

The following students are among more than 1,300 Harding University students recognized for their academic excellence from grades achieved during the spring 2024 semester.

  • Addie Echols of Cullman is a Junior studying public relations. Echols has been named to the Dean’s List.
  • Gracie Hamlett of Falkville is a Senior studying elementary education. Hamlett has been named to the Dean’s List.

The Dean’s List is published each semester by Dr. Marty Spears, University provost, honoring those who have achieved high scholarship. To be eligible, a student must be carrying 12 or more hours with a 3.65 or higher grade-point average and no incompletes.

University of Mississippi announces Spring 2024 Chancellor’s Honor Roll

UNIVERSITY, Miss. –  The University of Mississippi announced students named to the Spring 2024 Honor Roll lists.

The Chancellor’s Honor Roll is reserved for students who earn a semester GPA of 3.75-4.00:

  • Alexander Brooks, of Arab, majoring in Mechanical Engineering, was named to the Chancellor’s Honor Roll
  • Eli Keel, of Falkville, majoring in Public Policy Leadership, was named to the Chancellor’s Honor Roll
  • Sydney Sweet, of Cullman, majoring in Communication Sciences/Disorders, was named to the Chancellor’s Honor Roll

“The remarkable students achieving Chancellor’s Honor Roll are among the best and brightest at the University of Mississippi,” Chancellor Glenn Boyce said. “I commend them for their hard work and dedication resulting in their outstanding academic achievements and this well-deserved recognition.”

To be eligible for honor roll designation, a student must have completed at least 12 graded hours for the semester and may not be on academic probation during the semester.

UMGC students named to Dean’s List

ADELPHI, Md. –  More than 15,000 University of Maryland Global Campus students were named to the Dean’s List for the spring 2024 term. To be eligible for the honor, a student must complete at least six credits during the term, earned a grade point average of at least 3.5 for the term, and maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.5 at UMGC.
