CULLMAN, Ala. – As summer sets in, it’s a time of joy and relaxation for many families. However, for some, it can also bring about stressors and concerns about food security and availability.
Cullman County Schools is offering one solution to this challenge. It recently announced the return of the Summer Feeding Program, which allows school-aged children to visit Welti, Holly Pond, West Point, Vinemont, Parkside, Fairview, Harmony, Cold Springs, Good Hope High and Hanceville Elementary School for nutritious meals. The program will operate Monday through Friday, June 10-28. Breakfast will be served from 8-9 a.m. and lunch will be served from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
Cullman County is also home to multiple food banks and pantries. Check with each pantry for income and eligibility requirements and hours of operation.
