BBB of North Alabama hosting Cullman Shred Day May 4

CULLMAN, Ala. – Better Business Bureau of North Alabama has partnered with AARP Alabama to host Cullman Shred Day on Saturday, May 4, from 9 a.m.-noon at the King Edward Plaza Shopping Center, 1731 Second Ave. SW. This event will give area residents the opportunity to help protect their identities and the environment in a quick and easy drive-thru setup.

The following free services will be available on-site:

  • Document shredding: Free document shredding will be available onsite. There is a limit of three kitchen-sized bags or three file storage boxes per vehicle. Only paper documents will be accepted. All other materials such as plastic, metal and binders must be removed. Shredding will be accepted until the shred trucks reach full capacity.
  • Electronic recycling: Items must be less than 40 pounds. There is a $10 fee for each plasma and flat screen TV. Large-back TVs, CRT monitors and appliances will not be accepted.
  • Drug Take-Back: The Cullman Police Department will be collecting prescription and over-the-counter medications. Needles will not be accepted.
  • Food drive: Donations of non-perishable food items will be accepted to benefit Cullman Caring for Kids.
