CULLMAN, Ala. – Sportsman Lake Park held its annual Easter egg hunt on Saturday, March 30. It was a beautiful morning at the park with lots of activities for the whole family to enjoy.
Tracy’s Balloon’s had a booth set up for families to purchase balloon animals while they waited for the hunt to commence. Following the hunt, families could purchase tickets for a train ride, a game of putt-putt golf or food to feed the ducks.
Children lined the fences of the park waiting for the countdown to start the hunt. The park was divided into two separate hunting areas, ensuring a fair chance for hunters of all ages. The playground side of the park was designated for children ages 7-12, while the splash pad area was designated for children ages 0-6.
Sarah Morgan, who oversees marketing for Cullman County Parks and Recreation, shared that the hunt has happened for over 20 years at the park. This year the park hid over 10,000 eggs.
Said Morgan, “We appreciate everyone coming out and we hope to see them again next year!”
