Cullman County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) arrest roundup

Feb. 29

Deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the west side of the city of Cullman. The driver of the vehicle allegedly refused to stop and continued traveling toward the West Point community. The vehicle was ultimately stopped in the Baldwin community. 

The driver of the vehicle then allegedly fled on foot once the vehicle was stopped. After a brief foot pursuit, the driver was apprehended.

George Wilson Cavender II, 44, of Arab, was identified as the driver.

A subsequent search of his person and the vehicle allegedly yielded narcotics and paraphernalia. Deputies also determined that Cavender had outstanding warrants. 

He was placed under arrest. 

Juliana Caitlin Larmon, 28, of Joppa, was identified as the passenger of the vehicle and was allegedly found to be in possession of narcotics and paraphernalia.

Cavender is charged with unlawful possession of methamphetamine, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, attempting to elude, two counts of reckless endangerment, resisting arrest and two counts of unlawful possession of methamphetamine (probation revocation).

Larmon was arrested and charged with second-degree unlawful possession of marijuana and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

Deputies responded to a residence in the Vinemont community to assist Alabama Bureau of Pardons and Paroles officers. 

John Edward Goings, 56, of Vinemont, was located inside the residence.

A search of the residence allegedly yielded narcotics, paraphernalia and firearms, as well as a methamphetamine lab.

Goings was arrested and charged with manufacturing of methamphetamine (probation violation), manufacturing of methamphetamine, felon in possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of marijuana, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, unlawful possession of methamphetamine and unlawful possession of dangerous drugs.

March 1

Deputies responded to the call of a suspicious person at a business in the Good Hope community. 

Dalton Lee Spain, 21, of Vinemont, had allegedly been seen attempting to gain access to vehicles on the premises. Spain was located on site. 

A subsequent search of his person allegedly yielded narcotics and paraphernalia. 

Spain was arrested and charged with possession of burglary tools, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, public intoxication, unlawful possession of methamphetamine and first-degree attempted theft of property.

March 2

Deputies arrested Brandon William Brown, 26, of Hanceville, on multiple bond revocation warrants stemming from an incident in 2018.

Brown is charged with sexual abuse of a child, statutory rape and sodomy.

March 3

Deputies responded to a call of a suspicious vehicle in the Dodge City area.

The vehicle in question was located, and Crystal Star Bloodworth, 46, of Dora, Alabama, was identified as the driver. 

A subsequent search of the vehicle allegedly yielded narcotics. Bloodworth was arrested and transported to the Cullman County Detention Center. Once there, a search of her person allegedly yielded more narcotics.

Bloodworth is charged with unlawful possession of methamphetamine, unlawful possession of dangerous drugs and promoting prison contraband.
