CULLMAN, Ala. – Meet Colby, The Cullman Tribune’s Pet of the Week. A perpetual puppy in playfulness, Colby is a low-energy pal and estimated to be 1.5 years old. This Mastiff mix is destined to work his way into a home, life and heart with one swish of his floppy ears.
Colby’s tan coat and stocky build give him a tough look, but meeting this huge goofball will quickly show any prospective owner his love and care for the humans. Positive reinforcement is Colby’s love language; don’t be surprised if you earn some extra cuddles with Colby after a particularly fun day of hiking, running trails and playing around in wooded valleys or muddy puddles – as long as he is by your side, he wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.
Colby has a wonderful sense of confidence and control on a leash, allowing him to learn quickly and easily what is and what is not appropriate for a gentleman. Tricks, he doesn’t have many, but welcoming this big boy into your home would be a treat indeed.
Colby is a resident at the Cullman County Animal Shelter located at 935 Convent Road NE. Stop by Monday-Friday, from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. for a meet and greet.
Colby’s adoption fee of $130 includes neuter, DHLPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, rabies vaccine, wormer, general exam at the vet and microchip.
