Katherine Mae Patterson, age 85, of Haleyville, Alabama, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2024, at Russellville Hospital.
She was born on April 20,1938 to James Ellis Ragsdale and Lizzie Pugh Ragsdale. Katherine loved to crochet and believe it or not she loved to watch golf. She loved puzzle books and she liked to spend time at home and time with her family. She enjoyed watching nature.
Visitation will be Saturday, Jan. 13, 2024 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville, where the services will be held at 1 p.m. Burial will be at Millstone Mt. Baptist Church Cemetery in Lynn Alabama. Brother Jim Robins will officiate.
Katherine is survived by her daughter Debra (Russell) Johnson; brother, Ray (Betty) Ragsdale; granddaughters, Crystal (Trent) Barton and Jenifer (Jonathan) Harbin; grandson, Jason (Debra) Robins; great grandchildren, Breanna, Jacob, Amy, Joseph, Brooke, Blair, and Harley; great-great grandchild, Dalton; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Katherine is preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Patterson; parents, James and Lizzie Ragsdale; son, Kenneth Patterson; sisters, Alice Faye Aaron, Mollie Cagle, Nellie Cato; brothers, Clinton Ragsdale, Charlie Ragsdale, Johnny Ragsdale, and Willie Ragsdale.
