Doris Morgan stepped into heaven to be with her Lord on Jan. 3, 2024, at 75 years of age. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 6, 2023 at Crosshaven Church (9131 US-31, Hanceville, AL 35077). Burial will take place at Hopewell Cemetery in Hanceville. Pastor Jason Murphree will be officiating the services. The family will welcome friends at Crosshaven Church on Friday, Jan. 5 from 5:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Saturday, Jan. 6, 2023 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m.
She became a Christian at a young age and started playing the piano and organ in church when she was 11 years old and played for over 40 years. She lived a full happy life. She took great joy in her family (including her church family), traveling, and loved being a selfless friend to everyone.
Doris was born on June 15, 1948 in Hanceville and passed away Jan. 3, 2024 at her residence in Hanceville in the arms of her loving husband.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Woodrow and Blanche Alldredge.
Survivors include her husband Jimmy Morgan, children Kristi Morgan (David) Belew and Jason (Katherine) Morgan; grandchildren, Savannah Belew, Logan Belew, Allyson Belew, Kelsie (Jason) Graffagnino; great grandchildren, Archie Graffagnino; sisters Carol (Bobby) Dyer and Jane (George) Ponder; and a host of relatives.
