Memorial service for Bobby Wayne Ellenburg, age 88, of Baileyton, is Friday, Jan. 5, 2024 at 3 p.m., with Ken Forrest and Brock Johnson officiating. Service will be held at Hebron church of Christ, located at 3382 Hulaco Road, Joppa, AL 35087. Family will welcome visitors from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m., with the service following.

Mr. Ellenburg was born Nov. 20, 1935 to Jasper Lee Ellenburg and Eunice Mary Lou Harper Ellenburg. He passed from this life on Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2024.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Fred Ray Ellenburg, and Buddy Ellenburg; sisters, Freeda Gill-Jones, Ione Earwood-Holmes.
He is survived by his beautiful wife of 67 years, Annette “Bet” Ellenburg; two sons, Wayne (Dawn) Ellenburg, Jr., and Roger (Vicki) Ellenburg; grandchildren, Miranda (Phil) Duke, Melissa Ellenburg, Victoria (Jackie) Parcus, Brianna Lyle, Mandy (Casey) Mack, Mary Elizabeth (Zach) Nelson, William (Jeslyn) Pittman, Hannah Ellenburg, Harper (Caley) Ellenburg; great-grandchildren, Hailey, Abby, Jack, Frankie, Brunson, Pittman, John Howell, Capps, Mae, Rose, and Fox; a host of family and friends.
Bobby was a loving husband and father, but he loved his Lord most of all. In this life, he was an United States Air Force veteran. He was also the 65 and Over Alabama State Golf Champ and he won Buck Shear Tournament 3 times. He and his wife, Bet, each won their division of the Cullman County Championship, as well. He was thoughtful, quiet, and sincere man who led by example and will never be forgotten in the lives he impacted. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
