Davis as that pushed their lead to 8-1 almost halfway through the opening period. The Tigers cut it to 23-9 with 3:36 remaining in the first half, but a pair of free throws by Jones, plus a layup by Peyton Twilley, made it a 27-9 game. A rebound and putback by Broad gave them a 29-9 lead. Five straight points by Garrett, plus a basket in the paint by Helms, and a pair of Garrett free throws, pushed their lead to 38-11 at the half.
